All students in Prep to Grade 6 at Nichols Point Primary School use chromebooks in the classroom to assist with, and enhance learning.
We encourage families to consider purchasing a chromebook for your child as early as prep, as part of our BYOD program.
By investing in your own device, children have the added advantage of taking their computer home each day to use and recharge.

What is a Chromebook? Chromebooks are laptops that run ChromeOS — the fast, simple and secure operating system built by Google.
Every Chromebook has built-in virus protection, boots up in seconds, updates automatically, and stays easy to use. It’s the best start a kid could have for their first laptop!
Why chromebooks are great! The great part about purchasing a chromebook via our ordering portal is that it comes with a google license, which allows us to manage your child's device.
We can push out educational apps, disable chromebooks if they become lost and help them stay safe online. The best part is that the Chromebook will belong to your child, so they’ll get to not only use it and practise their computer skills at school but at home too!
Ordering a chromebook via the LWT portal. We have partnered with Learning With Technologies as our preferred provider for BYOD.
The device nominated on this portal has been selected by us as the machine that best meets the curriculum and technical requirements of our school.
Can I purchase a different device? The simple answer is yes. We will work with you if you would prefer to buy a different machine from another provider.
Our ICT department will set up the device ready for your child to use.
